Jigsaw Sudoku
I’m adding features back in to my new puzzle assistant front end code so today I thought I’d post the standard Jigsaw Sudoku puzzle that was my test subject – just fit 1-9 into each row, column and bold-lined shape.

Very nice jigsaw pattern! I really enjoyed doing this one.
It is probably because it has been a while since I have done a jigsaw, but I found this one tougher than usual … so if there was something you did to the complexity algorithm, I noticed it.

Well, I did make my Sudoku creation assistant capable of accepting much harder puzzles back when I wrote my Hard-as-Nails Sudoku book (which I see will be out in the US too next year!). But I suspect this one is tricky just because so many numbers are in the centre, making the other regions initially very empty.
