Another great puzzle, thank you!
Got into a bit of a mess with it at the first attempt, but the next time I started marking as many cells as possible as odd or even by looking at possible chains as you suggested. This really helped the puzzle fall into place.

Another sometimes-useful tip with this type of puzzle is that if there is a chain of 5 numbers all in the same region then they must be odd – since in a 1 to 9 puzzle there are 5 odd numbers but only 4 even ones!

Got it! Not fun though.
I am whinging because I started the puzzle thinking it wouldn’t take that long and I had other things to do. So I kept getting interrupted and when I came back I’d lose my train of thought and make a mistake.
I still have that issue with odd/even I mentioned earlier. It is clever though. You do all of the evens and then I used some tricky logic to crack open the odd chains. If you make a mistake there, the puzzle cascades the error and blows up in your face.
I might wait a bit to do the jigsaw one until I have more free time to concentrate on it.
